Not very clear with the input regarding the flooded members and appurtenance members in structure member properties in STAAD Offshore.
The members classified as “Flooded” will affect the buoyancy calculations because the weight of the water in the pipes will add to the weight of the member. Members specified as “Appurtenances” are considered as non-structural members. The loads on those member will be applied as joint loads at the ends.
